SHERIDAN REC DISTRICT - With fall sports getting started over the next few weeks, Kendrick Pool's days are limited and will close for the season in a few weeks.
Sheridan Recreation District sports specialists Nick Dore is in charge of Kendrick Pool this summer, and he says it's been a banner year for swimming hours at the pool. Dore says attendance for all their programs has gone way up this year.
Coming at the end of the month, they will be closing the pool for the year by having three events scheduled on the final day of the season.
In other Rec District notes, Little Guy football registration is all this week at the office in Thorne-Rider Park.
The JD Mullinax Tennis Tournament is this weekend, and they are gearing up for several other fall programs, including Co-Rec Softball, Men's Flag Football, Disc Golf and more.
For information on any of these programs, call the Rec. District Office at 674-6421 or stop by in Thorne-Rider Park.
