Weekend Local sports wrap up

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs beat Evanston 42-14 to go to 3-0 on the season after the victory, Head coach Don Julian. Friday they are back on the road at Cheyenne East.

EAGLES / RAMS FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Big Horn rams are both 2-0 after home wins Friday, Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has story.

The Rams play at Glenrock Friday while the Eagles travel to play Upton/Sundance.

Weekend High School Sports Wrap For Johnson County

All of the fall high school sports teams from Buffalo and Kaycee were in action this weekend, but we are still waiting on some results to get posted.

In football, the Buffalo Bison hosted the top-ranked Powell Panthers Friday night at the newly-christened Mike Moon Field.

BRONCS - The Broncs whipped Evanston 42-14, the Broncs led 35-0 in the third quarter next week they are back on the road at Cheyenne East.

EAGLES - The Tongue River Eagles are 2-0 after beating Moorcroft 28-8 the eagles play at home next week against Upton/Sundance.

RAMS - The Big Horn Rams beat up Lyman 55-22 to run their record to 2-0 the Rams play at Glenrock next week.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys play at #2 Oregon today, Cowboy pregame starts at 11:00, kickoff is at noon on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

Former Cowgirl Fallon Lewis to play pro hoops

As Fallon Lewis finished up her playing career with the University of Wyoming Cowgirls basketball team this past spring, the thought of giving up the game she had played and loved since grade school didn’t sit well with the Dayton native.

“I really wanted to continue playing basketball professionally, but at that point, I didn’t know if there would be a lot of offers or even how that worked,” Lewis said. “I was just sitting back and waiting to hear something.

There are three unbeaten teams in 4-A heading into week three and Broncs Head coach Don Julian says the season so far has gone they way most people thought.

The Broncs face Evanston tonight, Julian says the Red Devils always look familiar to the Broncs.

In the win at KW last week the Bronc defense really stepped up.

Johnson County High School Weekend Sports Preview

Sports teams from both Kaycee and Buffalo High Schools are in action this weekend.

In football, the Buffalo Bison will host the top-ranked Powell Panhers tonight at Bison Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
Former Bison Head Football Coach Mike Moon will be honored at halftime with a ceremony that will rename the field Mike Moon Field.
