Troopers win, final home date tomorrow night / Football - Soccer - Volleyball youth camps / Hoffman days coming in August

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers beat Laramie Monday afternoon 10-2 and will play their final home date of the season tomorrow.

The Troops banged out 13 hits with Connor McCafferty going four for four with a triple and three singles.

Blake Godwin started the game and got the win with relief help from McCafferty Head coach Ben Phillips says it was a good solid victory.

Godwin started the game and had a good outing keeping the troops in through six innings.

The Troops final home date is tomorrow when they host two with Casper the first game will start at 5:00. The Troopers state tournament starts July 30th in Gillette.

JETS BASEBALL - Sheridan will host the 2014 class "B" American Legion state tournament next week at Thorne-Rider stadium the Sheridan Jets are the defending champs.

BRONC / LITTLE BRONC FOOTBALL CAMP - The Sheridan high school football coaching staff has Little Bronc football camp this week.

It's 8th annual Bronc and Little Bronc football mini-camp Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The Little Bronc camp will be held from 5-6 pm each evening at Homer Ccott stadium and is open for grades K-8. Registration is $10 and will be done at the field before the first session tomorrow night. each camper must have proof of insurance and will receive a camp tee shirt.

Broncs in grades 9-12 will be practicing from 6-8 pm each evening with 7 on 7 and team scrimmages set against several area teams on Saturday beginning at 9 am. there is no charge or registration for the high school players.

YOUTH VOLLEYBALL AND SOCCER CAMPS - The Sheridan volleyball club will host a youth girls volleyball camp with the University of Wyoming volleyball program next week.

The Sheridan college Lady Generals soccer team will host a youth girls soccer camp next week.

The volleyball camp will be at Sheridan high school next week Saturday and Sunday and will be conducted by the University of Wyoming Cowgirls program.

The camp is open 6th grade through high school seniors for more information go to the website sheridanvolleyball.com.

Sheridan college soccer coach Stefan Skillman will hold their youth camps in three sessions, the 3rd - 6th grade girls camp will run next week Wednesday - Friday starting at 9 am.

The 7th grade-10th grade camp will also go Wednesday - Friday and will start at 8am and the camp for high school juniors and seniors will be held next week on Saturday and Sunday and will start at 9 am each day.

HOFFMAN DAYS - August 1st and 2nd Sheridan college and the Sheridan college foundation will be holding a celebration for former Sheridan college basketball coach Bruce Hoffman as they celebrate his 50 years at the college.

Hoffman coached the Generals for 34 years during his legendary and hall of fame career. Hoffman is currently serving on the Sheridan college board of trustees.
There will be a golf outing and lunch for Hoffman Friday August 1st at Kendrick golf course an appreciation banquet will be held Saturday August 2nd. for more info go to sheridancollegefoundation.org.
