SHERIDAN TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers played three games in Gillette before rained forced the cancellation games games Sunday and Monday.
The Troops opened the tournament with a 3-2 loss against Gillette but came back with victories over Jackson and Douglas.
The Troops are now 7-2 on the season will play a home double header with Douglas Friday evening the first game will start at 6:00 then they head to Rapid City for two on Sunday.
SHERIDAN REC DISTRICT - The Sheridan Rec District had the first week of adult summer softball rained out last week so the first official night of games will take place tonight
The District has also re-scheduled the Hersey track meet for today, events will get underway at 4:00 at Sheridan high school.
BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT - The annual Sheridan Media benefit golf tournament will take place Friday June 10th at Kendrick golf course to benefit the Sheridan public arts committee to purchase more permanent art work for the city of Sheridan.
The tournament is part of the annual "Celebrate the Arts" program that will take place next week.
This year the proceeds are going to purchase "Raptoraround" which was dedicated yesterday to American armed service veterans and is located near the Main street Coffeen Avenue intersection.
Golf tournament Chairman Kim love says it's a enjoyable golf outing for golfers of all skill levels.

LOCAL BASKETBALL - This weekend the annual 3 on 3 Sheridan hoop jam basketball tournament will take place in Whitney Plaza and the annual Wyoming / Montana All-star basketball series will be played next weekend at the Hoffman dome and up in Billings.
