TROOPERS TONIGHT AT THORNE-RIDER / BIG HORN MTN. TRAIL RUN

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers get back into action tonight hosting a double header with Sturgis, South Dakota.

The troopers are off to one of their best starts in quite a while as they have an 18-3 record and they've won eight of their last nine games.

Head coach Ben Phillips says staying focused on the mound and defensively are what they have to concentrate on right now.

The Troopers went through a tough stretch of games where they saw the pitching staff running a little low but after a double header sweep of Wheatland an a conference win over Douglas.

Phillips says the starting rotation is back and set to go.

The first pitch tonight will be tossed out at 5:00 and we will have game one live on 14-10 KWYO.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets will play their next games in Gillette Sunday then two at home on the 20th against Gillette prep and next Sunday they have two at home with Casper.

LADY GENERALS GIRLS HOOP CAMP - Sheridan college Lady Generals Head coach Frank McCarthy and the Lady Generals players open their youth girls camp on Monday.

They will take registration before the camp opens Monday morning at 9:00.

RAMS YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP - Next week new Big Horn Head football coach Micheal McGuire will host a "Little Rams" youth football camp at the school.

The camp will be Tuesday and Wednesday and is open to all kids in the Kindergarten through 5th grade and will run each day from 9:00 to 11:00.

The cost of the camp is 20 dollars per camper which includes a camp t-shirt. registration will be taken starting at 8:30 Tuesday morning at the big horn football field.

TRAIL RUN - The annual Big Horn mountain wild and scenic trail run is this weekend in Dayton. the 100 mile race starts this morning, the 30K, 50K and 50 mile events are full and will start tomorrow morning.

The post race picnic will run from 1:00 to 8:00 pm in Scott park in Dayton the post race awards breakfast will be held Sunday morning starting at 8:00 on Grinnell Plaza in downtown Sheridan.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies dropped an 8-2 decision to Oakland Thursday night running their losing streak to eight straight.

Tonight the Rockies open a weekend series in Detroit you can hear the game live on sports / talk 87.7 FM broadcast time is at 4:30.
