Troopers open "AA" State Wednesday / Fall sports athletes need physicals

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will open the state "AA" tournament in Gillette tomorrow night they play Jackson at 7:00.

The winner plays top seed Gillette Thursday, the loser plays Friday against the loser of Thursday's match up between Cheyenne and Casper.

And he says it's not just throwing and mechanics it's the whole staff being mentally tough and ready to pitch.

And if the pitchers can keep them in the game the defense has been pretty good all year and will make the plays behind them.

GOLF - Kendrick golf course will host a four person nine hole team scramble Friday for Sheridan college's Hoffman days celebration the lunch and golf will be the kickoff event for a the weekend to honor former Generals basketball coach and current trustee Bruce Hoffman as the coach celebrates 50 years at Sheridan college.

VOLLEYBALL - The 2nd annual "Never Flinch" summer slam 3 on 3 volleyball tournament will be held Saturday on the grass at the Sheridan county YMCA.

STORM SOCCER - The Sheridan county soccer association finishes up youth soccer registration for fall traveling soccer this week.
The deadline is Friday registration is on-line only at the Sheridan soccer website at sheridansoccer.org.

FALL SPORTS - A reminder today for all high school and Jr high fall athletes sports physicals need to be complete before they can practice.

The Sheridan Bronc football team opens their camp Monday, August 11th the rest of state's football teams and all other fall sports begin Monday, August 18th.
