TROOPERS IN OMAHA, NEBRASKA / WILD AND SCENIC TRAIL RUN OPENS FRIDAY / TWO WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL FB PLAYERS COMMIT TO COLLEGES

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are on their way to a tournament in Omaha, Nebraska they will play six games on the trip and will attend some of the College World Series action going on in Omaha at the same time.

The Troops will start play tomorrow with two games one against Lafayette, Colorado and the other will be against Creighton prep from Nebraska.

Saturday they have one game against Brighton, Colorado and Sunday they play Northglenn, Colorado and they will close out the tournament with a double header on Monday.

Troopers Head coach Ben Phillips says this is a great opportunity for the players on the field and they will also get to see some very good baseball at the College World Series.

The next Troopers home date will be June 20th against the Billings Halos.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets will play a double header Sunday at Thorne-Rider stadium against the Billings Angles the first game will be played at 1:00.

WILD AND SCENIC TRAIL RUN - The annual Big Horn Mountain Wild and Scenic trail run begins tomorrow with the 100 mile competitors taking to the course in the Big Horn mountains.

The 50 mile, 50K and 30K races all begin Saturday with the conclusion of the event Sunday morning at 8:00 with a pancake breakfast for the competitors on Grinnell Plaza.

WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL RECRUITS - Two Wyoming high school incoming seniors have given verbal commitments to play college football in 2014.

Gillette quarterback Austin Fort has verbally committed to the University of Wyoming. Fort led Gillette to a state 4-A runner up finish last fall he threw for over 2100 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Natrona county incoming senior Taven Bryan verbally committed to play football in the SEC in 2014 at the University of Florida.
