TROOPERS MAKE ALL-STATE / FALL SPORTS/ SRD PROGRAMMING

TROOPER BASEBALL - Two Sheridan Troopers earn post season all state awards. Following their third place finish at the recently complete "AA" state American Legion baseball tournament two troopers made the "AA" all-state team.

Pitcher/outfielder Drew Adrieans made the first team and shortstop Connor McCafferty made the second team.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies open a series at the New York Mets tonight. We will have the game live for you on 87.7 FM ESPN radio. Rockies on deck will start at 4:30 with the first pitch at 5:10.

FALL SPORTS - All fall sports athletes must have sports physicals completed before they will be allowed to practice this is for all junior high and high school athletes that will compete in fall sports.

The Sheridan Broncs open 2013 football camp Monday morning. This weekend Bronc coaches and team leaders will head up to the big horns for their annual mountain retreat.

They come down Sunday to host their player and parent meeting at the high school that will be Sunday afternoon at 4:00 in the high school auditorium.

Practice for the Broncs opens Monday morning at 7:00.

SRD PROGRAMS - The Sheridan recreation district is gearing to begin the fall sports season. Adult slow pitch softball wraps up this week with the Men's league crowning a champion.

Kendrick pool has had a very good season this summer Aquatics specialist Jamie Ostermeyer says not only youth swimming lessons has kept them busy but some adult programs have also been very successful.

And if daytime classes don't work for your schedule they are planning on offering some night time sessions
as well.

Adult softball season is getting ready wrap up this week and Adult sports specialist Robbie Spencer has a couple of new programs ready to take off.

Rec.district Director Richard Wright says they has a big weekend coming up for local tennis players as they host the annual JD Mullinax tennis tournament.
