TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers have been working out for the last two weeks and will open their 2011 schedule with three games in Gillette on April 30th and May 1st against Gillette, Casper and Cheyenne.

As they get ready to go the season looks promising for the Troops as Head coach Ben Phillips returns nearly his entire line-up from last year's team at won 32 games.

After a slow start to the 2010 season Phillips got the Troops turned around and they finished strong and that has built momentum heading into this spring.

They open the season on the 30th when they meet Gillette, Casper and Cheyenne for round robin games in the Razor city and Phillips talks about what they will try to get done over the next couple of weeks before the opener.

The Troopers will play their first home games in a double header against Powell on May 7th.

BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc soccer team has a change to their schedule this week. They will host the Cheyenne schools tomorrow and Friday instead of the original schedule of Friday / Saturday.

The Broncs host Cheyenne East tomorrow night games are at 4:00 and 6:00 and Friday they host Cheyenne Central also at 4:00 and 6:00.

LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team will travel to play the Cheyenne schools this week. Their schedule will remain Friday and Saturday but the game times are different.

They play at Cheyenne Central Friday with games at 3:00 and 5:00 pm then on Saturday they play at East at 10:00 and noon.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD - In track and field action the Sheridan high school track teams get back into action Saturday at the annual "Billings"invitational.

LADY GENERALS VOLLEYBALL - Six Sheridan college Lady Generals volleyball players will all sign national letters of intent today to continue playing volleyball at four-year schools.

The ceremony will take place this evening at 4:30 in the Whitney building at Sheridan college.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies were rained out at the New York Mets last night. They will play the regular scheduled game tonight and then a double header tomorrow.
