Troopers end season / Hoffman Days / Fall sports timeline

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers were eliminated from their state tournament last Friday losing their final game of the year to Cheyenne 7-4.

Gillette took the state title beating Casper 6-1 Saturday, Cody won the "A"state tournament in Laramie Saturday beating Powell 15-1.

HOFFMAN DAYS - Sheridan college and the Sheridan college foundation hosted Hoffman days over the weekend honoring Bruce Hoffman for fifty years of service to the college.

It started with a golf tournament and lunch Friday and ended with a banquet Saturday night.

Hoffman spent 34 years as Head Men's basketball coach and the last several years he's been on the college board of trustees and he has been overwhelmed to the out pouring from the college and from the community.

And we talked about how Sheridan college has changed for the better in the last 50 years.

FALL SPORTS - All high school and Jr high fall athletes need sports physicals to be complete before they can practice.

The Bronc football team opens preseason camp Monday, August 11th the rest of our fall sports begin practice Monday, August 18th.

SHS Activities Director Don Julian says fall sports parents need to be ready for August 20th that's the night of the booster club BBQ and fall sports parent / coaches meetings.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos open up their exhibition schedule Thursday night against Seattle, all Bronco games this season can be heard live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

The exhibition with Seattle is being played in Denver the Bronco pregame show will start at 5:05 with kickoff at 7:00.
