TROOPERS DROP GAME AT STATE,PLAY AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON / ROCKIES ON THE ROAD / HALL OF FAME OFFICIAL COMMENTS ON INDUCTION

TROOPERS STATE TOURNAMENT BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers dropped their quarter final match up at the state "AA" American Legion baseball tournament Thursday night against Cheyenne Post 6 the final was 16-8.

The Troopers face an elimination game today against the Cheyenne Hawks at 12:30 and with the double elimination format if they win that game they turn right around and play at 4:00.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost at Atlanta Thursday night 11-2. They continue their road swing with a weekend series at Pittsburgh and former Manager Clint Hurdle.

We will have tonight's game for you live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio Rockies on deck starts at 4:30 with the first pitch at 5:05.

2013 FALL SPORTS REMINDER - All local fall sports athletes from 5th and 6th little guy football through high school must have sports physicals completed before they will be allowed to practice that is for all local junior high and high school athletes getting ready to compete in fall sports.

The first football camp to open will be the Sheridan Broncs in ten days on August 12th.

(SHERIDAN) HALL OF FAME SPORTS OFFICIAL As we reported this week longtime Sheridan basketball referee and baseball umpire Brett Reed was inducted into the class of 2013 for the Wyoming Sports Officials Hall of Fame. Today we hear from Brett on his induction into the hall.

First he says it was a tremendous honor. And after more than 30 years as a Wyoming sports official he has dozens of great memories.

The ceremony was held in Casper during the Wyoming Coaches Association annual summer convention and All-Star weekend.
