Trooper baseball / SC at the CNFR / Rockies fall at home

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers dropped a game to Rapid City Post 320 Sunday the second game of the double header was rained out.

The Troops dropped the first game 8-0 and struggled at the plate with only four hits, Head coach Ben Phillips.

The second game was better with the bats but the troops just couldn't come up with a big two out hit.

The second game was called off when the rain hit again in the fifth inning.

They will be on the road Wednesday in Casper and Phillips says it's just back to the fundamentals and they need to just keep hammering away.

The next home game is a week from today when they host the Jackson Giants

TROOPER YOUTH BASEBALL CAMP - The Troops will hold the 20th annual Trooper youth baseball camp this week, the camp opens Thursday and continues Friday and Saturday at Thorne-Rider stadium.

The camp is open to all boys and girls ages 7 to 15 and will run from 9 to noon each day the cost of the camp is 35 dollars and they will take walk up registration before the camp opens Thursday.

SC RODEO - Sheridan college rodeo has a national champion, Taygen Schuelke took the Men's all-around title at the College National Finals Rodeo over thew weekend, he finished 3rd in the Bronc riding and 4th in the Bull riding.

Teammate Zeke Thurston had a great week as well finishing 2nd in Bronc riding.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 6-5 Sunday against Milwaukee, they open a home series with St. Louis tonight you can hear the game live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio, first pitch is at 6:40.
