Trooper baseball / Regional Soccer and Track / Rockies drop two straight in KC

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 0-2 on the season after dropping two against the Billings Halos.

Last week's games with the Billings Royals were rained out Head coach Ben Phillips says he saw some good things in the two games they did get to play.

And Phillips says since they were rained out last Sunday the players really need to get some live action against another opponent.

they are schedule to play two road double headers this weekend at Rapid City Post #320 Saturday and two in Powell Sunday, Phillips says #320 has a good club and Powell always plays the Troops tough.

The next home date will be Thursday, May 29th in a double header with Douglas.

REGIONAL SOCCER - The Bronc soccer team open the first round of the 4-A East regional tournament this evening in Gillette against Cheyenne East at 5:30.

If the Broncs advance they will play Laramie in the semi finals tomorrow at 5:30.

The Lady Broncs have a first round bye, they play in the semi finals tomorrow at 3:30 against the winner of today's play-in game between Cheyenne East and Cheyenne South.

TRACK / FIELD - High school track and field regional meets start tomorrow at five sites around the state , the 4-A East will be in Cheyenne, the 1-A and 2-A East regional will be in Torrington.

The all class Wyoming state championships start a week from today at Kelly Walsh high school in Casper.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 3-2 at Kansas City Wednesday. They are off today and open a six game home stand tomorrow hosting a weekend series with San Diego.

The first pitch tomorrow will be tossed out at 6:40 on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
