TONGUE RIVER LADY EAGLES STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPS

STATE 2-A BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Lady Eagles ran the table and won the 2-A girls state basketball championship Saturday in Casper beating Thermopolis 41-30.

They led wire to wire in the title game and went unbeaten all year after the victory Head coach Diane Moser says it was a great season.

It's the 8th state title for Moser in 39 years as the Head coach of the Lady Eagles program and she says it's hard to compare teams and she feels all her teams are special.

The Big Horn Lady Rams lost in the consolation final to Rocky Mountain Saturday 46-39, the Lady Rams struggled throughout the game getting into any kind of rhythm Head coach Mike Daley.

Daley says he was very proud of this year's team as they came a long way from early December.

The Rams finished their season with a victory in the third place game, after losing to Lusk in the semi finals Friday they came back and beat Thermopolis 76-69 to win the 3rd place trophy.

LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs are the 4-A east regular season champs and the regional tournament champs after beating Gillette Saturday in the regional final 54-38.

The Lady Broncs open the 4-A state tournament bracket Thursday morning at 9:00 against Green River we will be with the Lady Broncs throughout the tournament to bring you all the action live.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals basketball season ended Saturday with a loss in the first round the mens region nine tournament against Northeastern Colorado.

The Lady Generals beat Dawson county yesterday at their region nine tournament in Scotts Bluff Nebraska 72-59.

They are off today and will play their second round game tomorrow against the winner of today's game between Northwest college from Powell and Otero CC from La Juanta, Colorado.

TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track teams both finished 10th at the indoor state track and field championships.

Lady Bronc Shayla Christensen was the lone state champion winning the shot put event. The spring outdoor track season gets underway after school today.

SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams also open their season today with their first official practice of 2013.

WYOMING BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys and Cowgirls end their regular season's Wednesday night against Colorado state, the Mountain West conference tournament opens in Las Vegas next Tuesday.
