TIME TO SPRING FORWARD AS THE SHS SOCCER SEASON BEGINS

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL WINTER SPORTS REVIEW - Today as the 2012 spring sports season opens today we take a look back at the last winter sports season that ended last Saturday with Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian.

One special moment for the Bronc basketball team happened before their final game was played last Saturday.

The Broncs had ten seniors on the roster this year Head coach Mike Ibach changed his starting line up so the five Bronc back ups got to start their final high school game and Julian says that sent a great message.

Another big highlight for the winter sports season was the turnaround in the Bronc wrestling program as they finished 3rd at the state championships.

And Julian says this spring things look great for activities including adding a new home track meet to the schedule and we will also host the state soccer tournament in May.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams open the season playing matches with Riverton today.

The Broncs will play in Riverton the Lady Broncs host the Wolverines the JV's play at 4:00 the varsity 6:00. Tomorrow the Lady Broncs play at a Jamboree in Cody the Broncs will play in Worland.

TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams open their season tomorrow at the Natrona county "Earlybird invitational. The Tongue River track teams are also scheduled to compete in Casper.

BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets and Troopers baseball coaches will hold their annual player / parent meeting Wednesday night at 6:00 at Sheridan high school. All Jets and Trooper players and their parents are asked to attend.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys continue play in the College Basketball Invitational tournament Monday night.

They play at Washington state we will broadcast the game live on KWYO and 95.9 FM pregame at 7:30 and the tip at 8:00.
