SHS X-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams will run at their conference meet Friday in Gillette.

The young teams had a pretty good regular season, Head coach Art Bauers.

They run at the conference meet Friday but the priority is still the state championships next Saturday in

With that being said Bauers says they still have some team goals they would like to get done in Gillette Friday.


The First Interstate Broncos were crowned the Little Guy Tackle Football Champs Tuesday evening on the Dan Madia Field after defeating the Kilpatrick Creations Dolphins 20 to 6.

The team of 5th and 6th graders was presented the "Sheridan Recreation District - Little Guy Football League Champions - Traveling Trophy" which they proudly held and showed off to all as the scoreboard behind them reflected the efforts of their season.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams will play exhibition games this week.

The Lady Generals will host a jamboree all day Friday Head coach Frank McCarthy is looking forward to seeing them play against another opponent this week.

The Generals will play an exhibition game at Rocky Mountain college this weekend then attend a jamboree next week in Casper, Head coach Steve Smiley.

Lady Generals play in support of breast cancer awareness month

The Sheridan college Lady Generals volleyball team will play their Cure game next Tuesday at the Hoffman Dome.

They have team up with Sheridan Memorial Hospital in order to raise funds for the cure.

The Lady Generals will be selling t-shirts by the cafeteria on Oct 15 and 16 selling T-shirts

Monday Oct 17 in the Whitney building and also at the game on Oct 18.

They play Rocky Mountain college next Tuesday at 7:00.

Bison Weekend Sports Wrap 10 10 11

The Buffalo Bison football team was on the road Friday at Lander to take on the Tigers and dropped a nail-biter 14-7.
Fumbles by the Bison either led directly to scores or took the momentum out of their drives, forcing them to punt.
The Bison never seemed to get in rhythm throughout the game until midway through the fourth quarter when they finally got in the endzone but by then it was too little, too late and the Tigers ran out the clock on their final possession to take the win.
Next up for the Bison is a home game against the Torrington Trailblazers, Friday night at BHS.


Rams win now 4-2

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs built up a nice lead in Laramie Friday night then survived a Plainsmen rally and took the game 35-19 to run their winning streak to five straight at 6-1 overall Head coach Don Julian.

Seniors Riley Ryan and Gabe Dahmke missed the game because of injury and Julian says that gave some others a chance to fill and they got the job done.

Bronc Jordan Roberts runs away from Gillete defenders last week in a win against Gillette

The Sheridan Broncs were in Laramie Friday night, and the No. 2 team in the state improved to 6-1 with a 35-19 road win over the Plainsmen. Up on Laramie early, Sheridan controlled the game on the ground as they have done all season. Bronc halfback Jordan Roberts again surpassed 200 yards on the ground with one rushing score Friday night.
