SOCCER REGIONALS BEGIN THURSDAY IN SHERIDAN AND LARAMIE

REGIONAL SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams head into the post season as number one seeds for their regional tournaments meaning both have automatic bids into the state tournament and will receive first round byes in the regional.

Both will open post season play in the semi finals Friday night both matches are scheduled for 6:00.

The Lady Broncs will open their tournament in Laramie and will play against the winner of Thursday 's match between Gillette and Cheyenne East.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams ended the regular season Friday night sweeping matches from Gillette the scores were identical 2-1.

Hartley Stewart scored on a corner kick in the 80th minute to give the Lady Broncs their victory.

They finish as the regular season conference champs after the victory over Gillette we talked with Head coach Tom Racette.

The Bison and Lady Bison soccer teams finished their regular seasons on Friday by beating Newcastle. Both the boys and girls won by a 3-0 score.
For the girls, Rileigh Olsen, Charlotte McIntyre and Kaitlynn Armstrong all scored for Buffalo and Jenna Anderson had three saves at keeper.

Both teams will be at the State Tournament next weekend.

The Bison golf team hosted their tournament Friday after it was originally postponed the previous weekend.

The boys finished second and the girls took third.

Buffalo Soccer Scores From Friday

The Bison and Lady Bison soccer teams played their final regular season games on Friday against Newcastle.

The boys took down the Dogies on the road 3-0 to finish the regular season at 10-1-2.

The girls hosted the Lady Dogies and beat them by a score of 3-0. They finish their regular season at 9-5.

Both teams are off until next weekend's Regional Tournament.

BRONC SOCCER - We conclude our Sheridan Bronc soccer feature story today hearing from three more Bronc seniors Gabe Dahmke, Braden Drell and Cole Smith.

Gabe Dahmke has played soccer, basketball and football for the Broncs during his high school sports career.

He says the decision to play soccer in college really came to the forefront for him with the chance to play at the South Dakota school of mines with several of his Bronc teammates.

Bison, Lady Bison Win Against Douglas, Newcastle Next

The Bison and Lady Bison soccer teams are winding their regular seasons down and have just one game each left before the Regional Tournament next week.

Thursday, they played Douglas and the boys blanked the Bearcats in Douglas 7-0 while the girls beat the Lady Bearcats 10-0 at BHS.

Both teams will be in action again today as the boys travel to Newcastle and the girls host the Lady Dogies.
Games will be at noon and 2 at both sites.

BRONC SOCCER COLLEGE SIGNEES - In an unusual event yesterday six Sheridan Bronc soccer players signed to play college soccer next season with the same school.

The "Sheridan six" will all be student / athletes the South Dakota school of mines this fall.

They are seniors Hunter Reece, Braden Drell, Sam LeTempt, Cole Smith, Gabe Dahmke and former Bronc Cody Schellinger who graduated from Sheridan high school in 2010 and from Sheridan college this spring and will join his former teammates on the field once again.
