HALL OF FAME HOOPS COACH TO APPEAR IN SHERIDAN

The Sheridan College Men’s basketball team is excited to announce that NCAA All-Time win leader & ESPY award winning Coach Don Meyer will be hosting several events in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Coach Don Meyer is a renowned speaker, hosting leadership seminars and speaking for national organizations such as New York Life. Coach Meyer’s life was changed in 2008 when a near fatal car accident discovered that he had carcinoid cancer.

LOCAL SPORTS RESULTS

STATE TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams are in 3rd place heading into the final day of the state championships in Gillette. Number one singles players Julia Fenn and Reed Ritterbusch will play for their state titles today.

VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team will play at the annual "Border War" matches in Billings today.

The Big Horn Lady Rams beat Wright 3-1 Friday night they host Sundance this afternoon..

The Tongue River Lady Eagles are playing at a tournament this weekend over in the Big Horn Basin hosted by Riverside and Greybull high schools.

SHERIDAN YOUTH SWIMMING REGISTRATION

Sheridan Swim Team is beginning it’s winter season on Monday Oct. 1st at 6pm at the Jr. High Pool.

Monday's meeting will be for registration as well as an informational meeting.

STATE TENNIS / VOLLEYBALL / FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

STATE TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams opened the state championships in Gillette yesterday.

After day one the Lady Broncs are in 6th place with number singles player Julia Fenn making today's semi finals and the double team of Rachel Wood and Hailey Ligocki making it to the semi finals in number one doubles.

The Broncs are in third place as the day begins number one singles player Reed Ritterbusch made the semi finals as did the number one doubles team of Malik Grant and Adam Berry.

Johnson County Teams Try To Rebound With Wins This Week

After some tough losses last weekend, the Buffalo and Kaycee High School teams will try to get back into the “W” column this week.

A full slate of competition is scheduled this week starting with the Buffalo volleyball team which hosted Rawlins Thursay night.

The Bison cross country team was at the Worland Invite Thursday, results...

The Kaycee Lady Bucs volleyball team, ranked #5 this week, will host their Jamboree this weekend with Arvada-Clearmont, Midwest, Tensleep. Farson-Eden, Rock River, Lingle and Meeteetse scheduled to play. Games get underway on Saturday.

SHS VOLLEYBALL IN GILLETTE TONIGHT / BIG FOOTBALL DAY FRIDAY

LADY BRONC VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team plays a conference match in Gillette tonight then head to Billings for the annual Border War games with the Billings schools Saturday.

With the addition of several new faces the defending state champs have gone through some growing pains and Head coach Wendy Ruby says the progress continues.

RAMS MOVE UP TO #2 / KAMRIN ALLEN PLAYING WELL FOR THE POKES

RAM FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams football team has jumped to number two in the latest high school football rankings which were released Tuesday night.

The Rams are coming off a 30-26 come from behind win over previous number two team Glenrock and Rams Head coach Micheal McGuire says it was good to see the players face some adversity and find a way to come back and post the victory against a very good team.

And McGuire says the rams are 4-0 and still a work in progress but they are getting better each week.
