STATE X-COUNTRY - The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams finished up their season at the state championships Saturday. The Broncs had a strong showing finishing 3rd the Lady Broncs were 8th.
For the Broncs Michael Rottelini finished 3rd Taylor Bruso was 15th and Kyle Dietsche was 22nd.
For the Lady Broncs Alex Vaira was their top finisher in 22nd place.
REGIONAL VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball team was eliminated from the post season by Laramie at their regional tournament in Gillette.
The Tongue River Lady Eagles will be the third seed heading into the 2-A bracket at state volleyball and the Big Horn Lady Rams will be a one seed the tournament opens Thursday in Casper.
The Lady Eagles beat Wright in the consolation game at the regional tournament while the Lady Rams beat Southeast in the title match.
Tongue River will play Thermopolis Thursday night at 6:00 and Big Horn will play Kemmerer at 7:30.
BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs beat Cheyenne East in a thriller at Sheridan high school Friday night.
The Broncs held a 10-7 halftime lead and the game got wild in the 3rd quarter, East scored first to take a 14-10 lead, the Broncs answered and went up 17-14, East scored again going up 21-17 the Broncs answered that score again to go up 24-21.
The Broncs would scored with five minutes to play to extend their lead to 31-21 to wrap up a 7-2 regular season and a 3rd seed heading into this week's playoffs. They host Casper Kelly Walsh Friday night.
Head coach Don Julian says it was a great performance in the second half after they lost both starting running backs to injury
Running back Daniel Sessions banged up a knee in t5he first half but came back out in t5he third quarter and went off.
Senior Quarterback Kevin Bakkehaug took the lead in the second half guiding the Broncs to the victory.
Now they head into Friday's playoff game against Casper Kelly Walsh.
RAMS FOOTBALL - Big Horn blasted Newcastle 55-6 and will host Kemmerer Friday afternoon in their first round play off game.
Both the Big Horn and Sheridan games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles football season came to an end Friday with a 39-0 loss at Wheatland.
COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys lost at Fresno state 42-14 Saturday, the Pokes will play Boise state at home Saturday afternoon we will have it live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM Cowboy pregame will start at 12:30 with kickoff at 1:30.
BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos will play at home Sunday night against New Orleans. kick off will be at 6:30 live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.
