State Soccer and Track / Troopers home opener Thursday / Rockies fall at the Phillies

STATE SOCCER - The Sheridan Lady Broncs made it to the title game at the state tournament in Rock Springs they played Cheyenne East in the finals.

The Lady T-Birds blew the game open late in the first half and went onto beat the Lady Broncs 6-1.

STATE TRACK - The Wyoming state track and field championships finished the spring sports season over the weekend.

In the final team results in 4-A the Lady Broncs were 9th and the Broncs 12th.

In 2-A the Big Horn girls were 2nd and Tongue River 5th, in the boys 2-A TR was 10th and Big Horn was 17th and in 1-A the Arvada/Clearmont girls were 16th and the NSI boys were 14th.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers got a little baseball in over the weekend a few thunder storms washed out some of the game at the tournament.

The Troopers are now 3-5 overall at looking forward to finally playing at home Thursday evening against Douglas, Head coach Ben Phillips.

Most of the younger Troopers have had to fill in due to a few injuries and for the most part Phillips has been impressed with their progress.

The Troopers host two with Douglas Thursday night the first game is schedule to start at 5:00.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies opened a series in Philadelphia yesterday and got beat 9-0. We will have tonight's game for you live the first pitch will be tossed out at 5:05 on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
