Wanting to learn FLY FISHING but you have never taken the time? Hear is your chance to learn the proper techniques of fly fishing while having a great time!
Roger Miller, Owner of the Fly Shop of the Bighorns will be instructing an introduction to fly fishing course to persons interested in learning the basics of Fly Fishing. Roger has been a professional guide and fly shop owner for the past 7 years and has been fly fishing for 18 years.
Roger has a vast knowledge of skills and techniques to help you learn quickly and skip through the many pitfalls that slows people’s success on the waters.
The class will include general beginner fly fishing techniques, casting lessons, the three main fly fishing presentations, demonstrations of six needed casting skills, information on the differences between still water and moving water fishing, basic insects and insect life cycles.
He will also cover equipment recommendations, fly selections, tips and skills needed to catch fish and positive encouragement on your journey to learn fly fishing.
This course is directed at beginner to intermediate fly fisher persons that want to learn or get better at fly fishing.
Stop by the local Fly Shop and pick up your gear or bring what you have to get started with the many skills and techniques of fly fishing.
Feel free to sign up with a new fisherman (son or daughter) to make it a family bonding event that will last a lifetime.
DATES: May 8, 15, 22, 29, 2013 four (4) class meetings
TIME: 6:00-7:30 PM
LOCATION: Fly Shop of the Big Horns, 334 North Main Street (NEW LOCATION)
AGES: Anyone who can handle a Fly Rod (10 and older recommended)
FEE: $35.00 per person
CLASS LIMITED: Sorry, class limited to (16) people total so hurry to register.
Equipment needed: Fly rod, reel, line and leader for casting lessons.
Suggested books: Hatch Guide for western streams, The Orvis Guide to Beginning Fly Fishing, The Curtis Creek Manifesto and Dave Whitlock’s Guide to Aquatic Trout Foods.
