SPRING SPORTS: THE WEEK AHEAD

TRACK AND FIELD - The 2012 track and field season continues this week with the Broncs and Lady Broncs at the Cody invitational Saturday.

Both teams are coming off solid openers last week at the Natrona county invite Head coach Art Bauers.

And Bauers says it was good to see contributions from some of their younger athletes.

The Big Horn and Tongue River high school track teams are scheduled to compete at the "Jerry Campbell" invitational in Buffalo Friday.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams are 4-0 heading into their conference openers this week.

The Lady Broncs open conference play on the road at Cheyenne South and Laramie the Broncs host South Friday and Laramie Saturday.

Lady Bronc Head coach Tom Racette says they had a good start to a promising season last weekend.

Friday and Saturday the conference season opens with road matches at Cheyenne South and Laramie.

The Broncs open conference play as the defending regional and state champs they shut out four straight opponents last week and Head coach Kevin Riser says it was the start they needed.

They host South to open conference play Friday and then a rematch Saturday from the state title game last spring with Laramie.

BRONC / LADY BRONC GOLF - Sheridan high school Head golf coach Larry Martoglio says the Broncs and Lady Broncs will have their first practice for the spring season after school on Monday.

SHERIDAN AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - Sheridan Jets and Troopers baseball coaches will hold their player / parent meeting tonight at 6:00 at Sheridan high school in the cafeteria.

GOLF - Kendrick golf course Professional Brian James has announced that Kendrick is open for the 2012 Golf season today.
