BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan soccer teams will be in Gillette for matches Friday the Lady Broncs are leading the league with a 4-0 record and are 9-0 overall and ranked number one in the 4-A soccer poll this week.

The Broncs are locked in a tight battle in league play, Head coach Kevin Riser says Friday's match in Gillette is a big one for the Broncs.

Those matches will be played Friday at 3:30 and 5:30 and will be their only matches of the week. Next week the second round of conference play begins with the Broncs in Laramie and Cheyenne and the Lady Broncs at home.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams get back into action tomorrow at a meet in Casper.

BRONC / LADY BRONC GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will open their season this week their first spring tournament will be in Gillette Thursday.

LARRY MARTOGLIO HONORED - Veteran Sheridan high school coach Larry Martoglio has been named as a 2012 inductee into the Wyoming Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Martoglio started his coaching career in in Sheridan in 1976 as a junior high football and basketball coach, he's was the Broncs Head basketball coach from from 1991 to 1997 and a Lady Bronc assistant coach from 1999 to 2010.

Currently Martoglio is the Bronc and Lady Bronc golf coach his teams have won four state titles, three for the Broncs and a single title for the Lady broncs Back in 2006.

Larry has also had a big influence with Sheridan American Legion baseball serving in the past as the Head coach for both the Troopers and the Jets.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers less than a month away from their 2012 season opener. The Troops open at home Sunday, May 6th against Casper.

Game times will be at 1:00 and 3:00. We will broadcast game one of the double header live on 14-10 KWYO.

DISTRICT #1 COACHES - Big Horn and Tongue River high school's have new football coaches and Athletic Directors.

Micheal McGuire was named as the Rams Head coach and John Scott was named at Tongue River's new Head coach and AD last Friday.

McGuire has spent the last few years as an assistant coach for the Sheridan Broncs. he was also the Head coach at Riverside high school he guided the Rebels to a state title back in 2007 when they beat Big Horn 21-20.

Longtime Big Horn teacher and Lady Rams basketball and track coach Mike Daily was named as the new AD at Big Horn.

John Scott is a longtime Head coach, he was the Head football coach in Gillette and left to become the Head coach at Black Hills state and now takes over the Eagles program that did not field a team in 2011.

MLB - The Colorado Rockies play their home opener at Coors field this afternoon against San Francisco broadcast time is at 1:30 on Sports / Talk 87.7 FM.
