SHS - The 2014 spring sports season ends with state track and soccer next week, we visit today with Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian.
Sheridan high school competes in Wyoming highest division while being one of the smaller schools in the league and has done so for many years and racking up several state titles.
A few weeks ago stories came out in a few state wide newspapers about some with the idea the University of Wyoming football program should drop out of division one to be more competitive, the UW athletic department at the university said wasn't going to happen.
Some Wyoming high school football teams are forced to drop down divisions in most cases because of numbers but some have drop down because they feel they can't compete, Julian says that's is a mentality we can't have in Sheridan.
Looking ahead during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 school years Sheridan will be hosting several post season events.
These events are not only good for our local teams and fans but provide a nice boost to local businesses as well.
