2012 HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams had to settle for runner up finishes at the state tournament but 2012 will go down as one of the best season's for soccer in Sheridan high school history.
The Lady Broncs final record was 18-3-2 the broncs went 18-4-1 both won the east conference title and both took the titles in the conference tournaments as well.
Lady Bronc Head coach Tom Racette says the senior class led the way for the last three season's to get the program back to contending for state titles.
For the Broncs this spring marked a three year run to the state title game they were runner ups in 2010, champions in 2011 and runner ups again in 2012 Head coach Kevin Riser says the run has been amazing.
TRACK AND FIELD - Putting a cap to the state track meet hats off to Sheridan Bronc Aspen Frey and Big Horn Ram Matt Wigglesworth.
Frey took the 4-A state high jump title and Wigglesworth took the 2-A 300 meter hurdle championship.
TROOPER BASEBALL - This week the Sheridan Troopers will get right into the their season they will play four games this weekend at Gillette's "Spring Classic" tournament and following that they will play 18 games in the first two weeks of June.
They are 6-0 they will play on the road for the first time this season at the Gillette spring classic. They open Saturday afternoon against post #320 from Rapid City and the night cap with Gillette.
They will be off Sunday for graduation ceremonies and head back to Gillette Monday for games with Rock Springs and Douglas.
They play three straight double headers on the road in Rapid City, Powell and Riverton to start the month of June before hosting four straight at home
They will also be hosting the annual Trooper youth baseball camp June 6th -8th at Thorne-Rider stadium.
The camp is open to all kids ages 7-15 registration forms are available at the Sheridan Recreation District.
Trooper Head coach Ben Phillips says the players need the schedule to start getting busy so they have a chance to get more time on the field against live opponents.
SHS GIRLS YOUTH HOOPS CAMP - Sheridan high school girls basketball coach Sean Yeager and his Lady Bronc players will host their "Little Lady Bronc basketball camp June 4th, 5th and 6th at the Sheridan high school gym.
The camp is open to girls going into the 5th through 8th grades IT will run three hours each day from 3:00 to 6:00 on the 4th and from 9:00 to noon on the 5th and 5th. for more information you can contact Sean Yeager at 763-6318.
WYO / MT ALL STAR HOOPS - There will be plenty more basketball coming up in June as the annual Wyoming / Montana all-star basketball series will be played in Sheridan and Billings June 8th and 9th.
SC YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMPS - The Sheridan college boys youth basketball camp will run from June 11th through the 14th.
