WYOMING TRACK CLASSIC RESULTS

TRACK AND FIELD - The Wyoming high school activities association held the annual Wyoming track classic in Casper yesterday.

Six from Sheridan high school and three from Tongue River high school competed, for Tongue River Hunter Vineyard tied the meet record winning the high jump at 5'7.

The Eagles Taylor Heaps finished 2nd in the 800 meters and Nate Plymell was 6th in the pole vault

For the Sheridan Lady Broncs Claire Korpela and Lauren Buyan finished 3rd and 7th in the 300 meter hurdles, Bailie Dannels was 3rd in the 400 meters and Katie Rotellini was 2nd at 800 meters.

NSI TO HOST A TRACK MEET TODAY

Normative services will be hosting a track meet today.
Events are scheduled to get underway at 4:00.

Teams competing include, NSI, Tongue River, Big Horn and Sheridan high school and five other schools from Northeast Wyoming

Bison Soccer Posts Huge Wins

The Bison Soccer Teams had huge wins on Saturday when they hosted Cheyenne South.
The boys shut out South 11-0, and the girls won their game 11-1.
Both the boys and girls should retain their Number-One rankings this week.
The girls, 8-1-1 overall, will take on Gillette Monday in a rescheduled game from earlier this season, and the girls will host Worland Tuesday, Newcastle Friday and finish their regular season Saturday at Douglas.

Bronc senior Drew Slikker Scored the game winner against Kelly Walsh

LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team had one match postponed but did get to play Saturday.

Their match at Casper Kelly Walsh was postponed Friday and will be made up tomorrow afternoon they did play at Laramie Saturday.

The Plainsmen got by the Lady Broncs 1-0 Head coach Tom Racette says it was a difficult weekend to travel and it was a factor in Saturday's match.

Buffalo's Prosinski Drafted by Jaguars

Chris Prosinski was drafted by Jacvksonville during this weekend's NFL Draft.

Former Buffalo High School and University of Wyoming football player Chris Prosinski was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars during this weekend's NFL Draft.
Prosinski was selected with the 24th pick in the fourth round, 121st overall.
Prosinski led the Bison to back-to-back State Titles in Football as a quarterback before graduating in 2006, and moving on to play free safety with the Wyoming Cowboys.
Prosinski graduated in the spring of 2010, but played his final year of college eligibility last fall at Wyoming.

UW SIGNS THREE MORE BAKETBALL PLAYERS

UW ATHLETICS - University of Wyoming Athletic Director Tom Burman joined other university athletic staff in Sheridan Wednesday for the annual Sheridan county Cowboy Joe membership kickoff.

Burman made the announcement two weeks ago that the University had hired one time men's basketball coach Larry Shyatt to become the Cowboys head coach once again a move Burman says the program really needed.

Bison Sports Teams Prepare for Busy Weekend

The Bison boys' and girls' soccer teams are still ranked #1 in this week's poll, after being idle last week, and both teams sit atop the standings in the 3A Northeast Conference.
The boys are 2-0in conference, 8-1-1 overall, while the girls are 2-0 in conference, 7-1-1 overall.

UW COACHES ATTEND COWBOY JOE FUNCTION IN SHERIDAN

UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING ATHLETICS - Several representatives from the University of Wyoming athletic department attended the Sheridan County Cowboy Joe membership drive kickoff function Wednesday night.

Among the coaches attending included new Cowboys basketball coach Larry Shyatt, Shyatt comments on returning to Wyoming after 13 years since leaving the program.

Shyatt won 19 games in his only season as the Pokes Head coach and he says they know going into the coming season they have a lot of work to do.
