Broncs Hoop season over / TR girls advance at state / BH Rams fall into losers bracket

4-A EAST REGIONAL BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Broncs basketball season ended for the second time in a row came in a crushing defeat in loser out play at the 4-A East regional tournament in Cheyenne.

The Broncs met Cheyenne Central in the elimination game and had to play from behind all night they tied the game in the closing seconds but Cheyenne Central hit the final bucket with two seconds to play to beat the Broncs 69-67, the loss came from the freethrow line where they hit only 19-36 attempts.

State 2-A and 4-A Regional Hoops begin today

COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowboys played at Utah state Wednesday night the Aggies beat the Pokes 65-54. The Cowboys end the regular season at home Saturday afternoon against Colorado state.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Cowgirls end their regular season Friday night at CSU the men's and women's Mountain West conference tournament starts next week in Las Vegas.

2-A STATE HOOPS - The Tongue River Lady Eagles and the Big Horn Rams open the state 2-A basketball tournament starting today in Casper.

SC Women's Soccer have successful youth clinic

The Sheridan College Women's Soccer team just finished up a four week clinic with the YMCA.

Coach Stefan said "The clinic was a great start to prepare these kids for there upcoming seasons this spring" he went on to note that "we had over 50 kids participate ranging from 5th through 8th grade."

Each week the players worked on improving and learning various turns and skills along with passing technique.

New SC Volleyball Signee

The Sheridan College volleyball coaching staff was pleased to announce that 3 time state champion Courtney Smith from Ballantine, MT. Courtney has officially signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Generals next fall.

Courtney is a 5’9” middle hitter who can be used anywhere across the net. "I am very excited to add Courtney to our roster next year.

She is very athletic with a heavy swing. She has a good vertical leap and can be utilized in multiple positions for us next year.” Said head coach Jennifer Stadler
