BRONC AND LADY BRONC TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams played at home yesterday. The Lady Broncs ran their season record to 7-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play after beating Kelly Walsh 4-1.

The Broncs lost to the Trojans 4-1 the Broncs lone winner was Reed Ritterbush winning his match in number #1 Singles in three sets.

This weekend the Broncs and Lady Broncs will play matches at Powell and Cody.

SC Rodeo

Sheridan college Rodeo- It was the first action of the season and Sheridan College placed third out of 14 schools. Allen Auer from Whitewood, SD and Zach Scofield from Faith, SD won the Short round in the Team Roping and Placed 2nd in the average. Allen got bucked off in the short round in the bullriding and ended up in 10th place. Zach Scofield placed 5th in the long round in the Saddle Bronc Riding and place 5th in the average. Shane Stevens from Hawk Springs, Wyoming placed 5th in the long round in the bareback riding and was 4th in the short round and 4th in the average.

TR EAGLES FOOTBALL - Tongue River Eagles football team fell short in a 26-20 loss against Glenrock last Friday.

The Eagles play at Moorcroft this week Head coach Chuck Walters says the Eagles are coming off a stinging loss against Glenrock but he can see the Eagles are getting closer to putting it all together.

And he says lessons learned in that loss has helped open the eyes of the players and coaches that will help them get ready to play at Moorcroft Friday.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs play their next two at home beginning with Rock Springs Friday night at 7:00.

IT WAS ANOTHER BUSY AND WILD WEEKEND ON THE LOCAL SPORTS SCENE

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs made it three straight wins to start the season overcoming five turnovers to beat Green River 10-7.

Head coach Don Julian says they knew it would be a tough game and it was good to get out of there with the victory. And it was good for the broncs to win and overcome the five turnovers.

The Broncs play their next two at home beginning with Rock Springs Friday night at 7:00.

The Sheridan Broncs Get a Tough Road Win

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL- The Sheridan Bronc football team took to the road Friday night and got a tough victory over Green River 10-7. The Broncs move to 3-0 on the season and will host Rock Springs next Friday at Homer Scott Stadium at 7 pm. The game will be broadcast on AM 1410 KWYO.

The Tongue River Eagles hosted the Glenrock Herders this afternoon. Tongue River trailed early 20-0, but fought hard in the second half to bring the score to within 6. Despite a dramatic comeback by the Eagles, the clock ran out with the final score GLENROCK-26, TONGUE RIVER-20


The Big Horn Rams played Burns at Sheridan High School. Burns took an early lead, but it was all Big Horn from there. The final score was BIG HORN 45, BURNS-14.


Tonight The Sheridan Broncs take on the Wolves in Green River. Sheridan Broncs would win 10-7.

BRONCS LOOK TO GO 3-0 AT GREEN RIVER TONIGHT

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs take a 2-0 record on the road today heading for another big game in Green River. The Wolves are 0-2 after losses to Cheyenne East and Kelly Walsh Broncs Head coach Don Julian says the Wolves might be 0-2 but are a dangerous team.

And with the style of play of both teams the broncs are expecting a knock down drag out battle with the Wolves.

HOME FOOTBALL FOR BIG HORN AND TONGUE RIVER THIS WEEK

THE RAMS OPEN AT HOME WITH BURNS FRIDAY

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams host Burns in their home opener Friday at Sheridan high school, it's hoped in the next few weeks the new football field at the new high school will be ready to have games.

The Rams are coming off a 37-14 win at Greybull last Friday head coach Bert Dow says it way a great way to start off the new year.

They won't have much time to get ready for the Burns game Friday with a short week but most other teams missed a day of workouts this week with Monday being a holiday.
