Lady Bison Swimmers Fifth at Warrior Invite

Buffalo's girls swim team was at the Warrior Invite in Worland Saturday, and as a team finished in fifth place.
Individually, Hannah Chapin won the 50 and 100 freestyle and Geacie Meachum won the diving event.
Other top five finishes for the Lady Bison came from the relay team of Misty Ballek, Sara Ott, Chapin and Caley Stafford in the 200 medley relay, 2nd and the 400 free relay, 2nd; Ballek in the 100 butterfly, 2nd and the 100 back, 2nd; Stafford in the 100 breast, 3.
Team standings were Lander, Cody, Powell, Riverton, Buffalo, Worland, Douglas and Newcastle.

LADY BRONCS FALL TO GILLETTE IN FOUR

VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball team played Gillette last night the Camels took games one and two with the Lady Broncs taking game three but they couldn't keep the momentum going and Gillette would take game four and win the match, Lady Broncs Head coach Wendy Ruby says it was a tough night.

And she says the Lady Broncs have a lot of work to do in the next three weeks before the post season begins.

The 51st Annual Sheridan College Pat Hamilton Memorial Rodeo had 384 contestants from 14 different colleges and universities attend with 646 total runs in three days.

The Sheridan College Rodeo team had some great runs and rides.

Cotter Kinghorn and Donny Scantling won the long round in the team roping with a time of 7.5, they roped their steer in the short round fast but had a ten second penalty at the barrier they ended up 5th in the average.

SHERIDAN BRONC GOLF - The Broncs repeated as 4-A state champs winning by 14 shots the Broncs were led by Senior Kamrin Allen who also won his second straight Medalist title.

Allen says the Broncs had a great season and to cap it off Saturday with another state title was great.

The Broncs led by three shots heading into the final round as Allen says they felt comfortable playing with the lead even though it was still tight heading into Saturday's round.

Bison Sports Weekend Wrap for Sept. 26

The Bison football team suffered another setback last Friday, falling to the Douglas Bearcats 27-21 on their home field.
Douglas opened scoring in the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead, but the Bison answered in the second quarter on a run by quarterback Collin Rodriguez to tie the game at 7-7. Aaron Fenner scored later in the quarter to give Buffalo a 14-7 lead at the half.

BRONCS SHUT OUT ROCK SPRINGS / RAMS FALL AT GLENROCK

Bronc running back Nate Kane went 76 yards for a TD on the games first play

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs shut out Rock Springs 28-0 Friday night to go to 4-1 on the season.

Nate Kane scored on a 76 yard run on the first play from scrimmage as the Broncs built up a 28-0 halftime lead and cruised to the win.

The Broncs play in the "Energy Bowl" at Gillette next Friday

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams lost on the road at Glenrock Friday night as they gave the Herders a pretty good battle, Glenrock jumped out to 30-13 lead.

The Rams shut them out in the second half but could only score once as the Herders took the game 30-19.

Bison Fall to Douglas 27-21

The Buffalo Bison suffered a 27-21 loss to the Douglas Bearcats at home Friday night.
Buffalo now stands at 2-2 on the season.
