TROOPERS TONIGHT AT THORNE-RIDER / BIG HORN MTN. TRAIL RUN

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers get back into action tonight hosting a double header with Sturgis, South Dakota.

The troopers are off to one of their best starts in quite a while as they have an 18-3 record and they've won eight of their last nine games.

Head coach Ben Phillips says staying focused on the mound and defensively are what they have to concentrate on right now.

TROOPS SWEEP TWO ON THE ROAD / HOOP CAMPS CONTINUE

TROOPERS ACE LEFTY LUCAS GEISEY

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers ran their record to 18-3 overall as they swept a double header in Spearfish, South Dakota last night.

The Troops took the first game 9-6 Lucas Giesey got the victory they beat Spearfish 13-8 in the second game with Josh Loseke picking up the victory.

Loseke and Drew Adrieans also hit back to back home runs in the night cap.

Next up for the Troopers is a double header with Sturgis , South Dakota tomorrow night at Thorne-Rider stadium the first pitch will be tossed out at 5:00.

TROOPERS 17-3 AFTER WINNING TUESDAY NIGHT

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers have a record of 17-3 after Tuesday night's conference game with Douglas.

The troopers fell behind 1-0 through three innings but blew the game open in the 4th inning sending 14 batters to the plate and scoring 8 runs.

Douglas hung around and got within 11-8 in the 8th but the Troopers put the game away with four runs in the bottom of the inning for the final margin of victory.

Starting pitcher Schiller Murphy got the win pitching into the 6th inning he gave up 4 runs on 6 hits, struck out four and walked three.

TROOPERS IN ACTION AT HOME TONIGHT

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 16-3 overall and get back on the field tonight with a conference game with Douglas at Thorne-Rider stadium.

They've won four of their last five games and are coming off a sweep of Wheatland Sunday.

They also played five games in three days and Head coach Ben Phillips says it was nice to get the players an off day Monday.

At 15-3 on the season Phillips says they are off to a pretty good start.

RAMS HEAD FOOTBALL COACH MICHEAL MCGUIRE

Big Horn high school football coach Micheal McGuire will host a youth football camp next week on Tuesday and Wednesday at the school.

The camp is open to all kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade and will run both days from 9:00 to 11:00.

They will take registration starting at 8:30 Tuesday morning at the football field, cost of the camp is 20 dollars which includes a camp T-shirt.

3 ON 3 CHAMPS

The Sheridan Lady Spartans won the Battle on the Blacktop basketball 3 on 3 tournament for the 9th and 10th grade division in Buffalo, WY this past weekend.

ALL-STAR HOOPS / TROOPER BASEBALL / SHRINE BOWL FOOTBALL

WYOMING / MONTANA ALL STAR BASKETBALL - The Wyoming / Montana high school all-star basketball series ended Saturday night in Billings with the Wyoming girls winning and the boys team coming up just short in the 4th quarter.

One night after losing in Sheridan 82-64 the Wyoming girls got off to a great start Saturday and pulled away in the 4th quarter beating the Montana all-stars 77-67.

WYOMING ALL-STARS FALL / TROOPS GO DOWN TO GILLETTE

ALL-STAR HOOPS - The Montana all-stars took both games Friday night as the annual basketball series tipped off at the Hoffman dome.

The Montana girls broke open a close game in the third quarter and beat team Wyoming 82-64.

In the boys game it was another third quarter run that put the Montana all-stars up by 19 points and they held off the Wyoming all-stars 80-69.

All four teams play again tonight in Billings game times are at 6:00 and 8:00 and can be heard live on 14-10 KWYO broadcast time is at 5:30.
