Sheridan Golf Course Record Broken

Cameron Lindell, age 20, had a record-breaking weekend at Kendrick Golf Course. Lindell finished the course with a score of 64,62, which is a total score of 18 under par. That's the best score ever achieved on the course. He said he started strong.

Lindell's streak of luck continued Sunday.

Lindell is a returning sophomore at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas.

BRONCS LOOK TO RETURN TO 4-A ELITE

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team has put in two weeks of practice and now they set their sights on Cheyenne Central.

Last week we heard from Sheridan Head football coach Don Julian, today Julian talks about the Bronc offense and getting the players ready for Friday's season opening game at Cheyenne Central.

The Broncs graduated the best runner in school history last year when Jordan Roberts set several rushing records at Sheridan high school.

The Broncs return a solid group of seniors and juniors that saw some good action last year for the defending state champs.

Today we look at Special teams and Defense Head coach Don Julian says the coaches put a lot on their Special teams and he says they look to be in good shape heading into this season.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles football team in their first week of practice since the program had to cancel the 2011 season.

New Head coach John Scott says he's been pleased with the turn out.

And Scott says the players have taken to the new coaching staff and the new system.

SHERIDAN CO-REC SOFTBALL

Sheridan co-rec state runner up softball team.

The state tournament was held in Powell. They lost to Cole sports from Gillette 13-11 in the 10th inning in the title game.

US AM UPDATE / RAMS FOOTBALL

US AM GOLF - Former Sheridan Bronc golfer Taylor Reed was eliminated from the US Amateur golf championships in Denver Tuesday. He opened play Monday at Cherry Hills country club and shot a 5 over par 76 his second round score was 80.

Reed was the only Wyoming golfer in this year's field nearly 300 players qualified for this year's event which used two different courses for the stroke play format over the first and second rounds.

The top 64 players start match play today.
