Troopers Split Two in Casper / Bronc Football Heads to Team Camp / All-Star Hoops Tip Off Tomorrow

TROOPERS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers split a double header in Casper last night they lost the first game 4-3 and came back and took game two 6-0.

The Troops will play their next several games on the road they are off until road double headers in Sturgis and Mitchell South Dakota next week the road trip will continue at a tournament in Omaha, Nebraska which runs during the College World Series the 16th through the 19th.

The next home games for the Troopers will be June 21st when they host two with the Casper Oilers.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers played a single nine inning road game at the Casper Oilers last night the Troops made it four straight victories with a 13-6 road victory they will look to extended their winning streak tonight when they play two against the Casper Drillers.

Following today's games they will have a few days off before resuming the schedule next week with home dates with Sturgis and Mitchell South Dakota back to back Tuesday and Wednesday those games will start at 5:00 both days and we will broadcast the action from Thorne-Rider stadium on 14-10 KWYO.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers have won three straight after sweeping a double header against the Billings Halos Monday night winning the first game 9-6 and taking the second game 11-1.

Jeff Shanor pitched into the 6th inning, Carl Geertz came on in relief as the Troops scored 3 times in their final at bat to take the 9-6 win in game one, Head coach Ben Phillips says Shanor got the job done and their bats came alive to get the victory.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers went 1-3 on the weekend they dropped two at Rapid City Post 22 by scores of 12-7 and 11-3, Sunday they split at Spearfish losing 3-1 and taking the second game 8-6.

They get back into action this afternoon as they host a double header with the Billings Halos the first pitch will be tossed out at 2:00 and we will broadcast that game live on 14-10 KWYO.

The Sheridan Jets will play a double header at Casper this afternoon.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers get back into action tomorrow as they begin a ten game stretch on the road, they play in Rapid City tomorrow then at Spearfish Sunday and then back home Monday afternoon for a double header with the Billings Halos.

Head coach Ben Phillips says 10 games in five days gives every player and chance to get on the mound and get some good playing time.

Monday afternoon against the double header with Halos at 2:00 and we will broadcast that game live on 14-10 KWYO.

2016 HOOP JAM - The 2016 Hoop Jam basketball tournament kicks off the month of June this weekend with play Saturday and Sunday at Sheridan high school.

High school Activities Director Don Julian says it will be what it's always been a great way to kickoff summer vacation for kids and they are always trying to find ways to make Hoop Jam better every year.
