BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams play matches with Cheyenne East this evening, tomorrow it's Cheyenne Central.
The Lady Broncs are 2-0 in conference play and 6-0 overall after wins at Cheyenne South and Laramie last week.
Head coach Tom Racette says the win at Laramie last Saturday meant a lot to the Lady Broncs as it had been several years since they've had a victory against the Plainsmen.
And he's says with the Cheyenne schools coming in for games this week it's important to keep the momentum going.
JV's play at 4:00 the varsity at 6:00 tomorrow matches are at 10:00 and Noon.
The Broncs are 1-1 in conference play and are coming off a loss at home to Laramie Head coach Kevin Riser says the loss served as a wake up call for the defending state champs. And he says it would be huge to be able to go get two wins on the road in Cheyenne this week.
Riser says they have a tough four game stretch coming with Cheyenne this weekend, Buffalo on Tuesday and Gillette on the 13th.
Tuesday both teams host non-conference matches at Homer Scott stadium with Buffalo, the girls varsity will play at 4:00 and the boys at 6:00.
TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan and Big Horn track teams will compete at an invitational in Gillette tomorrow events begin at 10:00.
Tuesday the Broncs and Lady Broncs will be at an invitational meet in Billings on Tuesday.
ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies open their season with a three game series in Houston next week on Thursday the home opener at Coors field is Monday, April 9th against San Francisco.
