BRONC SOCCER - We conclude our Sheridan Bronc soccer feature story today hearing from three more Bronc seniors Gabe Dahmke, Braden Drell and Cole Smith.
Gabe Dahmke has played soccer, basketball and football for the Broncs during his high school sports career.
He says the decision to play soccer in college really came to the forefront for him with the chance to play at the South Dakota school of mines with several of his Bronc teammates.
And he says soccer is just the bonus as he's always looked at engineering as a possible career.
Bronc senior Braden Drell says this group of seniors has really built something in the soccer program and it seems natural for the players to move on to college and keep playing together.
And it's been a blast to play soccer in the Bronc program and seeing all their hard work pay off.
Cole Smith has been the Broncs Goal Keeper for he last two years and says as a Keeper it's great to have such a strong line-up in front of him every time out the last couple of season's
The Broncs host Gillette this evening and Smith says they know they are playing a very good team.
The boys varsity match is scheduled to start at 4:00 the girls go at 6:00 at Homer Scott stadium.
Regional tournament play starts next Thursday the Lady Broncs will open their tournament on Friday in after receiving a first round bye the girls regional will be played in Laramie.
The Broncs also have a first round bye next week and will play Friday afternoon as they are the host team for their regional.
The state soccer championships will be played at the Equestrian center the tournament will begin Thursday May 17th.
TRACK AND FIELD - The final meet of the track and field regular season is today in Gillette. Next weekend the 4-A East track regional will be held Cheyenne and the three day state championships begin May 17th in Casper.
BRONC / LADY BRONC GOLF - The Sheridan high school golfers are scheduled to play today in Laramie and tomorrow in Cody, the Broncs and Lady Broncs will also host their own invitational next Tuesday.
The spring golf season ends with the East conference tournament in Casper starting Monday, May 14th.
TROOPER BASEBALL - The Troopers open the baseball season a week from today hosting a single nine game with Casper the game will start at 7:00.
The home opening celebration has been moved to Sunday May 13th when the Troops host a double header with the Powell Pioneers. The first game of that double header will start at 1:00 on the13th we will also be broadcasting that game live on AM 14-10 KWYO.
ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies open a home weekend series with the Atlanta Braves tonight you can hear the game live the broadcast will begin at 6:05 on Sports / Talk 87.7 FM.
