Sheridan wins U13 Babe Ruth title / Jets host state "B' this week / Troopers end regular season on the road

BABE RUTH STATE CHAMPS - The Sheridan 13 year old Babe Ruth baseball all-stars won their state tournament at Thorne-Rider stadium yesterday, now they get ready to head to the Northwest regional tournament in Helena. Montana.

Sheridan beat Laramie 11-3 in the title game Sunday the regional starts next week.

JETS BASEBALL - Sheridan will host the 2014 class "B" American legion state tournament this week the tournament starts with four games Thursday the state champ will be crowned Sunday.

Game times Thursday are 1:00, 3:30. 6:00 and 8:30 the Sheridan "B" all-stars will play Gillette at 1:00, Laramie plays Cody at 3:30, Cheyenne and Jackson play at 6:00 and the Jets play Casper at 8:30.

They will have five games Friday starting at 10:00 am.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will close out the regular season with a road trip to Cheyenne this week then onto the double "AA" state tournament in Gillette July 30th.

Right now head coach Ben Phillips says they are just trying to stay sharp.

NHSFR - The National high school finals rodeo wrapped up over the weekend in rock springs, Jeff Zdziarski from Sheridan placed 4th in the bareback riding.

LOCAL GOLF - Kendrick golf course will host the city championships Saturday and Sunday they are now taking registration for the tournament at the club house.

Kendrick golf course will host a golf outing Friday August 1st for Hoffman days.

They will host a lunch and nine hole golf scramble it's a four person 9 hole team scramble, each player can only use four clubs.
