TROOPER BASEBALL - Sheridan American Legion baseball held their annual player / parent meeting Wednesday night.
They were hoping to be on the field for the first workout Monday but Head coach Ben Phillips says the weather over the next several days has them pushing opening day back to the middle of next week.
The first question of a new season how many front line players are returning in 2013 Phillips says they have some key players coming back.
The Troopers move back into the Double "AA" ranks this season with the likes of Cheyenne post 6, Gillette and Casper and he says that makes for a much more exciting season.
And the 2013 schedule is loaded with several tournaments and some of the best competition in the region.
The Troops open their season at home Saturday, April 27th with a double header against Cody we will broadcast the home opener live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams will compete this week at a meet in Cody Saturday.
BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams open conference play tomorrow with matches against Cheyenne South. They play Laramie Saturday the Broncs will play on the road the Lady Broncs host.
Matches tomorrow will be at 4:00 and 6:00 and Saturday at 10 am and noon.
BRONC / LADY BRONC GOLF - The Sheridan high school golfers are scheduled to open spring practice Monday (weather permitting) with the first tournament of the spring in Worland April 5th.
COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys will play a second round game in the CBI basketball tournament Monday night. The poke's will host Western Michigan at the Double "AA".
COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Cowgirls play Northern Colorado in the first round of the WNIT tonight in Laramie. We will have it live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM pregame starts at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00.
