Sheridan Teams do Well at Dan Hanson Invitational

Track & Field The Annual Dan Hanson Invitational took place yesterday in Sheridan, with many regional teams participating.

There are no other track meets this weekend; they'll be back in action next week.

All State qualifiers will compete in the Wyoming Track Classic in Casper next Friday. The Classic is an All-Class meet, with athletes from all four classes competing against one another in the same meet.

All participants must be in the top eight in their events this spring in order to compete.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams will then compete in the Casper Invitational next Saturday.

Sheridan High School will be hosting the 4-A East and 1-A / 2-A East Regional Meet May 13th and 14th.

It's been a good athletic year at SHS with several male and female athletes signing to play in college next year. Sheridan High School Activities Director Don Julian says that's a big source of price for the school.

Soccer It will be a quiet holiday weekend on the local sports scene, but the spring season will end in just four more weeks.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams are off until next Friday and Saturday, when they resume Conference play with only two weeks left in the regular season.

The Lady Broncs will play at Laramie and Casper Kelly Walsh, while the Broncs will host the Plainsmen and Trojans.

Golf The Bronc and Lady Bronc Golfers will play in two tournaments next week. They will be in Riverton and Casper, but have this weekend off.

Cowboy Joe Club Coach Larry Shyatt, Pokes Football Coach Dave Christensen, Defensive Coordinator Mike English, Wrestling Coach Mark Branch and Cowboys' Broadcaster Kevin McKinney will be part of the entourage from the University of Wyoming that will attend the Annual Spring Cowboy Joe Club Membership Kick-Off function in Sheridan next week.

The event will be held Wednesday, April 27th at the Sheridan Holiday Inn, beginning at 5:30. All Wyoming fans are invited to come out and meet the coaches and hear their presentations.

Colorado Rockies The Rocks will be on the road this weekend. We will have tomorrow's and Sunday's games live on AM 1410 KWYO, as the Rockies begin a a road trip at the Florida Marlins.

Saturday's broadcast time is at 4:30 pm; Sunday morning first pitch is at 10:30.
