Sheridan College had an outstanding performance this weekend. Three guys and three women qualify for the short go at the Eastern Wyoming college rodeo in Torrington this weekend. Ty Hiatt was 64 points in the long go as well as the short go giving him 128 points on two, winning the average in the saddle bronc riding.
In the Bareback riding, Shane Stevens was 66 points in the second go round, splitting 4th and 5th overall. Matt Schieck qulified for the short go in the team roping with his brother Brad with a time of 12.9.
For the women's team, Chelsey Kelly tied her goat in 8.2 seconds, and bettered her time in the short go as she was 7.6 seconds, placing herself 2nd place in the average in the goat tying.
In the barrel racing, Mandy Moore and Chancey Stirling ran identical times of 16.76 seconds qualifying them for the short go. Mandy ran a 21.69 in the short go, placing 9th in the average.
Chancey ran another 16.76 in the short go, tying for 5th and 6th in the average. Sheridan College will compete in Ft. Collins next weekend.
