ALL CONFERENCE / ALL STATE VOLLEYBALL SELECTIONS AND WEEK TWO OF THE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS

Lady Bronc Kayla Woodward makes 4-A All-State

ALL-STATE / ALL-CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball team had one all state team selection and two all conference selections.

Making the East all-conference team were Kayla Woodward and Stephanie Sessions, Woodward was also named to the 4-A all-state team.

The Big Horn Lady Rams had three all-conference selections they were Katie Van Hoosier, Mali Wright and Kori Puckett, Wright and Van Hoosier were also named to the 2-A all-state team.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles had two players make the all-northeast conference team they were Kim Caywood and Katie Ferguson.

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams finished 3rd at the state volleyball tournament. They beat Sundance in five games to win the consolation bracket. that ended their three year reign as 2-A state champs.

The Sheridan Lady Broncs won their first match but lost in the semi-finals and were eliminated from the tournament one game away from the consolation final by Evanston in four games.

The Arvada/Clearmont Lady Panthers lost two straight and were eliminated from the tournament Friday.

Broncs Win a Close Game Friday Night, While Big Horn Dominates on the Gridiron

The Sheridan Broncs needed every bit of the clock to pull out the win late in the 4th quarter against the Kelly Walsh Trojans Friday night at Homer Scott Stadium. The Broncs trailed late in the game before scoring late twice to win by a final of 10-3. The Broncs will now host Cheyenne East in the semi-finals next week.

STATE VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Lady Broncs, Lady Rams and the Arvada/Clearmont Lady Panthers opened the state volleyball championships at the Casper events center yesterday both Sheridan and Big Horn advanced into the semi finals.

The Lady Broncs beat Star Valley in four games and will meet Rock Springs in the semi finals today at 4:30. Rock Springs took care of Laramie in their first game.

The Big Horn Lady Rams beat Lovell in four games as well and will play Rocky Mountain in the semi's at 4:30. Rocky beat Pine Bluffs to advance.

PLAYOFF FOOTBALL BEGINS TOMORROW AND SOME HOOPS SATURDAY NIGHT

GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals open the new basketball season November 9th but Head coach Steve Smiley and the Generals are giving you a chance to get a preview look at this year's team. They will host an exhibition game with free admission Saturday night in the Hoffman dome. A couple of familiar names will be playing against the Generals.

Smiley says they coaches have been pleased with the teams progress over the last month of preseason work-outs and
scrimmages.

SHERIDAN AND BIG HORN HEAD INTO THE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs will host Casper Kelly Walsh in the 4-A football playoffs Friday night.

The Broncs are the two seed with a record of 7-2 overall Head coach Don Julian says this year's Bronc team has been through a lot with injuries and other adversity and have come through it well.

He's says the players did get through a lot of negatives during the regular season but there have been many more good things.

THE WHSAA ANNOUNCES TICKET PRICES FOR FRIDAY'S PLAYOFF FOOTBALL GAMES

A note from Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian:

The playoff game with KW will be Friday night at 7 pm.This is a WHSAA game, so fans will have to pay with the exception of people who have WHSAA passes. Prices are $5 for adults, and $3 for students. We are going to do pre-sales all week in the high school office during school hours.

Big Horn will play Big Piney Friday at noon in the quarter finals,ticket prices for that game will be 3 dollars for students and 5 dollars for adults

THE 2010 STATE SWIMMING AND DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS OPEN THURSDAY

The Lady Bronc Swimmers conclude their season in Gillette at the state championships

LADY BRONC SWIMMING AN DIVING - The Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will compete in the state swimming and diving championships in Gillette this week. The 4-A prelims begin Thursday afternoon.

All the Lady Bronc qualifiers have been tapering their work-outs for the state meet over the last week and a half and coach Larry White says they've taken to the rest very well.
