THE SHERIDAN BRONCS HAVE THEIR NEXT HEAD BASKETBALL COACH

BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Bronc basketball program has a new Head coach as Bronc assistant Gale Smith takes over for Mike Ibach who resigned last month.

Smith has been a teacher and coach in District two for the last 17 years and was an assistant coach under Ibach for the last six we sat down yesterday at Sheridan high to visit with the new Head coach.

Since Smith has been in the program for the last six seasons he says it will be a smooth transition for the returning players.

And he says heading into the 2012-13 season they have several good young players in the program.

The gym has been open since the end of the season and their summer schedule is all set.

TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams host the"Dan Hansen" track Invitational Saturday events will get underway at 10:00.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams play Laramie tomorrow and Cheyenne South Saturday. The Broncs are on the road the Lady Broncs are home matches are at 4:00 and 6:00.

The Lady Bronc match Saturday with South will be played out at Big Horn JV's at 10:00 and the varsity at noon.

BRONC / LADY BRONC GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers tee it up at their next tournament tomorrow in Douglas.

COWBOY JOE - The Wyoming Cowboy Joe club will host their spring membership fund drive reception on Monday at the Sheridan Holiday Inn.

Guest speakers will be Athletic Director Tom Burman, Director of golf Joe Jensen, Wrestling coach Mark Branch, Basketball coach Larry Shyatt and Football coach Dave Christensen.

The event will run from 5:30 to 7:30 again Monday night at the Sheridan Holiday Inn.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The home opener for the Sheridan Troopers has changed with the cancellation of their home double header with Casper on May 6th.

Next on the Troops schedule is a home double header with Powell May 13th.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies beat San Diego 8-4 last night and after nine straight at home head to Milwaukee and Pittsburgh for six on the road.

They have an off day today our next broadcast is tomorrow night in Milwaukee starting at 6:10 on Sports / Talk 87.7 FM.
