Sheridan Bronc Senior Blayne Baker Mulls Over College Football Offers / Bronc Soccer Hosts Cheyenne South Tonight / Dan Hansen Track Invite Opens Saturday Morning
BRONC FOOTBALL - Sheridan high school Junior Blayne Baker will be a force for the bronc football team as he enters his senior season this fall.
Baker at 6'5 and 250 pounds has had the attention of college recruiters since he picked up plenty of playing time as a sophomore on the Bronc offensive and defensive lines.
This spring Baker has received offers to play at the University of Wyoming and Montana state we caught up this Baker at Sheridan high school this week.
Blayne says the offers from both schools came very close together and now the process of making the best decision has started.
He expects to make a decision sometime this summer following visits to Laramie and Bozeman.
As the school year ends next month Baker will be entering his senior season with the Bronc football program, the team will compete in a team football camp in early June before preseason camp opens in the second week of August but he says preparation for the 2017 Bronc season has begun.
Since Head coach Don Julian arrived in Sheridan 10 years ago the Bronc football team has won four state titles including the last two in a row, they've accomplished all that as one of the smallest schools in class 4-A Baker says the program's success starts at the top.
TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams will finish off the week tomorrow hosting the annual Dan Hansen invitational events will start tomorrow morning at 10:00
BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams have Cheyenne South tonight and Laramie tomorrow the Broncs and Bison will play tonight at Homer Scott stadium the JV's will go at 4:00 and the varsity will start at 6:00, tomorrow the games with Laramie will be played at Big Horn high school and start 10:00 am at noon.
TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will be back in Billings tomorrow for two more games with the Billings halos and Lewistown, Montana.
ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies had an off day Thursday, tonight they open a home series with San Francisco you can here tonight's game on 87.7 FM ESPN radio Rockies on deck starts the broadcast at 6:05.
COWBOY JOE - The Wyoming Cowboy Joe club comes to Sheridan next week with their annual spring membership drive function Thursday night the event will be held at Black Tooth Brewing company starting at 5:30.
Those attending include Cowboy Head football coach Craig Bohl, Cowgirl basketball coach Joe Legerski and Athletic Director Tom Burman.
