Bison Sports Weekend Wrap for Sept. 26

The Bison football team suffered another setback last Friday, falling to the Douglas Bearcats 27-21 on their home field.
Douglas opened scoring in the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead, but the Bison answered in the second quarter on a run by quarterback Collin Rodriguez to tie the game at 7-7. Aaron Fenner scored later in the quarter to give Buffalo a 14-7 lead at the half.


Bronc running back Nate Kane went 76 yards for a TD on the games first play

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs shut out Rock Springs 28-0 Friday night to go to 4-1 on the season.

Nate Kane scored on a 76 yard run on the first play from scrimmage as the Broncs built up a 28-0 halftime lead and cruised to the win.

The Broncs play in the "Energy Bowl" at Gillette next Friday

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams lost on the road at Glenrock Friday night as they gave the Herders a pretty good battle, Glenrock jumped out to 30-13 lead.

The Rams shut them out in the second half but could only score once as the Herders took the game 30-19.

Bison Fall to Douglas 27-21

The Buffalo Bison suffered a 27-21 loss to the Douglas Bearcats at home Friday night.
Buffalo now stands at 2-2 on the season.

FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams have won two straight and head back out on the road after winning at home last week Head coach Bert Dow says the rams have a tough task in front of them tonight in Glenrock.

Bison Sports Weekend Preview for September 23

After the Bison football team got out of Green River last Friday with a 17-14 overtime win, they were rewarded with a new No.2 ranking in the 3A polls this week, moving up from 5th to 2nd.


Bronc Senior Running Back Jordan Roberts ran for 354 yards and four touchdowns last week at Evanston

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football and the Big Horn Rams both play tomorrow night the Rams will be in Glenrock and the Broncs at home against Rock Springs.

The Rams have won two straight and head back out on the road tomorrow Head coach Bert Dow says his young team is getting more comfortable with their new offense.

Dow says they face a tough Herders team tomorrow that can really run the ball.

Bison Swimmers Perform Well at Newcastle

The Lady Bison swim team was at the Newcastle Invite last Saturday and came home with some great performances under their belts.
As a team, the girls finished second behind Doulas, followed by Cheyenne South, Newcastle and Worland.
Individually, wins went to the girls' 200-yard medley relay team of Misty Ballek, Hannah Chapin, Sara Ott and Caley Stafford; the same team in the 200 free; Stafford in the 200 IM and the 100 breast; Chapin in the 50 and 100 free; Ballek in the 100 fly and 100 back; and Gracie Meachum in diving.

Bison Cross Country Team Improving

The Bison cross country team continues to show improvement, but especially in the junior varsity ranks.
They were in Dougals last Friday for the Jackolope Invite, and the JVers looked good again.
The top finish came from Tori Schumacher who finished 15th, followed closely by Laura Kelly at 16th.
Kathryn Eklund took 28th, Sammy Burton 30th, Candace Carder 36th and Audrianna Carder 67th.
The girls' team finished fifth.
