SC RODEO CHAMPS / TROOPERS AT CASPER / ROCKIES DROP SEVEN STRAIGHT

SC RODEO - As we reported Monday Sheridan college rodeo has a national champion, Taygen Schuelke took the men's all-around title at the College National Finals Rodeo over thew weekend, he finished 3rd in the bronc riding and 4th in the bull riding.

Teammate Zeke Thurston had a great week as well finishing 2nd in bronc riding.

Today we hear from SC rodeo coach Marc Gilkerson, first up Gilkerson says Schuelke and Thurston made a tremendous run last week.

And he says both had a great year so the CNFR performance was not a surprise.

Schuelke was in the running all week for the all-around title, Gilkerson says that is a great honor. And Thurston just missed winning the bronc riding by half a point.

Both Thurston and Schuelke are scheduled to compete in the WYO rodeo also former Sheridan Bronc wrestler and football player Devan Reilly will compete in the bareback riding at the WYO as well.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will be on the road tomorrow in Casper for a couple of conference games then off the rest of the week.

They will hold the 20th annual Trooper youth baseball camp this week, the camp opens Thursday and continues Friday and Saturday at Thorne-Rider stadium.

The camp is open to all boys and girls ages 7 to 15 and will run from 9 to noon each day the cost of the camp is 35 dollars and they will take walk up registration before the camp opens Thursday.

The next home game for the Troops is Monday when they host the Jackson Giants

COLORADO ROCKIES - The Colorado Rockies lost 8-0 against St. Louis last night it was the first time in nearly a year since they had been shut out at Coors field they have also lost seven straight games.

The series with St. Louis continues tonight you can hear the game live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio, first pitch is at 6:40.
