SHERIDAN COLLEGE HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals split games with Miles City at home last night.
The Lady Generals got to a slow start but they went on a 21-7 run to start the second half and pulled away for the victory, Lady Generals Sophomore Fallon Lewis.
With the win they still have a chance to be the host team for their post season tournament but they must beat Casper at home Saturday and win at Gillette Tuesday, Lewis says their focus right now is on the number 4 ranked T-Birds.
Miles City owned the Generals for 32 minutes in last night's game building up a 17 point lead with 8 plus minutes to play and looked like the Generals were finished until mounting a huge come back to take the lead but the game ended in controversy and miles city pulled out a 92-89 win.
The Generals looked sluggish all night until the late run in the span of 5:00 minutes they made up 19 points and took their first lead of the game with 2:30 to play on a three pointer from freshmen RL Leverette.
Then came the controversial finish the Generals were down 90-89 Sophomore Khion Sankey drove to the basket and scored what looked to the game winning shot with :03 seconds to play but the bucket was waved off by one the officials when he called Sankey for an offensive foul.
Miles City made two free throws and a desperation shot by the Generals came up short and the Pioneers left the court as the winners.
Generals and Lady Generals back in action at the dome Saturday against Casper college games will be at 3:00 and 5:00
BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams close out the regular season with games against Gillette.

And It's a huge game tonight as regional tournament seeding is still up for grabs.
Gillette beat the Lady Broncs by four in Sheridan three weeks ago as Yeager talks about playing in a tough environment tonight.

In the girls bracket the Lady Eagles play at 10:30 against Lusk the Lady Rams will open against Burns this evening at 5:30.
The Eagles open the first round at noon against Southeast and the Rams play at 8:30 against Lusk.
The NSI Wolves will open their regional against Guernsey they will play at noon.
INDOOR TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track teams have a dual meet scheduled today in Gillette weather permitting in their final tune up before the state meet next week which will also be held in Gillette.
