GENERALS PLAY FOR THE REGION 9 TITLE TONIGHT

GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals beat Casper college 85-73 last night in the Men's region nine tournament semi finals and will play Western Wyoming tonight for the title.

Game time is 6:00 and we will be live streaming the game on line here at sheridanmedia.com.

LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals were eliminated from their tournament yesterday losing their quarter final game against Northeast Nebraska.

The Hawks beat the Lady Generals 81-79 they missed a shot to tie the game with :03 to play.

BRONCS / LADY BRONCS BASKETBALL - The 3-A / 4-A state basketball championships tip off Thursday in Casper we will be with the Broncs and Lady Broncs throughout the tournament to bring each game live on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

The Lady Broncs open Thursday morning at 10:30 with Star Valley.

They had mixed results in the regional tournament after a poor shooting game in a loss to Cheyenne East they came back strong with 79 points and a win over Gillette Head coach Derek Bissitt says they feel good heading into the tournament.

As far as preparation this week it happens really fast before they load the bus tomorrow night.

The Broncs open with Rock Springs Thursday night at 9:00 they take a 19-6 record into the tournament.

The Broncs are coming off a thrilling weekend with three straight wins culminating with an exciting win over Gillette in the title game Head coach Mike Ibach says it was a weekend to remember.

And he says the players are really anxious to get the state tournament started.

The high school spring sports season opened with the first official practices for Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer and outdoor track and field

The Bronc soccer team was indoors yesterday in the halls and the small gym at Sheridan high school Bronc Head coach Kevin Riser says with snow on the ground it must be time for soccer season in Wyoming.

The Broncs made it to the state title game last spring they finished as the runner up to Laramie and Riser says that's on their minds again as the new season
begins.

The regular season begins in ten days.

The first outdoor track meet for the Broncs and Lady Broncs is set for March 19th at Natrona county.

MWC BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT - The Wyoming Cowboys and Cowgirls open Mountain West conference basketball tournament play tomorrow in Las Vegas.

The Cowboys play TCU in the men's play-in game tomorrow afternoon at 2:30. We will broadcast it live on 14-10 KWYO. The winner advances to play BYU Thursday afternoon at 12:30.

The Cowgirls will play tomorrow night at 7:30 against the winner of today's game between San Diego state and New Mexico.

If the Cowgirls win tomorrow they would play again Friday afternoon in the semi finals.
