SC drops home games / Pokes win / Woodward leads Cowgirls past AFA

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams suffered rare home losses on the same night last night dropping games against Central Wyoming, both games went down to the final seconds.

Lady Generals Freshmen Sierra Toms made two free throws with 15 seconds to play to tie the game at 67-All, CWC hit a 3 point basket with :02 seconds to play to win it 70-67.

The Generals and Rustlers went down to the final seconds as well, the Generals got late free throws to take a 69-67 lead with 8 seconds to play but gave up a 3 point bucket with .05 seconds to play and got beat 70-69.

Now they have to go out on the road to try and heal up they both play at Little Big Horn CC Saturday.

UW HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowgirls blew out the Air Force Academy last night in Laramie 82-47. Kayla Woodward scored a career high 29 points in the victory, she had 7 rebounds along with 4 steals and 4 assists.

Fallon Lewis had another double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds and former Lady General Jasmine Davis had a career high 11 points.

The Cowboys came from behind to win at the Academy 66-59. Larry Nance Jr.. led the way with 20 points. Nathan Scobey hit a 3 pointer with just under 4 minutes to play to give the Pokes the lead.

The Falcons took the lead back with 3:22 to play but Nance hit two free throws to give the Pokes the lead for good.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers will be in action tonight they have a dual at Casper Kelly Walsh which will be their only match of the week.

The Broncs will be at home with duals next week on Friday and Saturday with Cheyenne East and Central Friday, they host Cheyenne South and Laramie Saturday.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams open conference play tomorrow with games against Laramie then Saturday they play Cheyenne South.

The Broncs will play at home and we will have the game live for you tomorrow night at 7:00 on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM, Saturday's game with South tips at 2:00 live on 87.7 FM..

BHHS HOOPS - The Big Horn teams play at Wright tomorrow and will be at home Saturday against Sundance.

TRHS HOOPS - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles host Moorcroft tomorrow and host Lovell Saturday.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers host a dual with Buffalo tomorrow then travel to compete in an invitational meet in Worland Saturday.

INDOOR TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track teams will compete at a meet at Black Hills state University tomorrow.

SUPER BOWL 48 - Sunday February 2nd the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks meet in super bowl 48 in New Jersey. We will broadcast the game live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM.

The pregame show will be broadcast starting at 10:00 in the morning Super Bowl Sunday the game itself will kickoff a little after 4:30 in the evening.
