BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs are headed to the State Championship football game for the first time since 1997 with a stunning victory over Casper Kelly Walsh last night.

KW and Sheridan both scored on short runs in the first half, but the Broncs missed the extra point and Kelly held that 7-6 lead until late in the game. The Broncs had the ball last and made two great plays to set up Drew Slikker's 28-yard field goal to win the game.

On 4th and 11, Austin Woodward threw a 44-yard pass to Cody Williams to the Kelly 15-yard line. They ran three plays and sent Slikker into the game. He calmly nailed the 28-yard attempt with :09 to play to give the Broncs a 9-7 lead. KW had time to run one play and it was over.

The Broncs will play Cheyenne Central next Saturday for the 4-A State Championship at War Memorial Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30. Central beat Gillette 27-10 in the other Semi-Final.
