Weston Lane Johnson Memorial Service

Weston Lane Johnson, 27 born January 15, 1987 to Blane & Jill (Bushnell) Johnson in Lakin, Kansas. Weston passed away Friday, January 17, 2014.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at the Wray High School Gymnasium in Wray, Colorado with Pastor Glen Kline officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Weston Johnson Memorial Fund (for scholarship fund and cancer research), c/o Spellman-Schmidt Funeral Home, 427 Adams Street, Wray, Colorado 80758. Cremation was requested. Spellman-Schmidt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

INDOOR TRACK / WRESTLING / BASKETBALL

SHS INDOOR TRACK - The Sheridan indoor track teams will compete at a meet in Spearfish, South Dakota Friday.

Head coach Art Bauers says they are coming off a good first meet of the season. And they some outstanding performances.

Friday the head to Spearfish Bauers says it will be another big meet and another chance for the athletes to get better and for some a chance to try and get qualified for this year's Simplot games.

Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams swept Billings Skyview for the second time this season then they swept games with Natrona county Saturday.

The Lady Broncs beat Natrona county 55-53 they built up an 18 point halftime lead before NC roared back but the Lady Broncs held them off in the final minute Head coach Jessica Pickett.

The Broncs beat Natrona leading the game wire to wire to finish up non conference play at 10-2 Head coach Gale Smith.

Rough Weekend For Johnson County's HS Athletes

It was a rough weekend of competition for Johnson County's high school athletes as teams competed hard but some came up a tad short in the end.

The Bison boys' basketball team lost a close game to Wheatland 63-61 on Friday and then dropped another close one to Rawlins 51-47 on Saturday.

SHS Sweeps Skyview / Rams, Eagles split

BRONC / LADY BRONCS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams swept Billings Skyview for the second time this season.

The Lady Broncs won in Billings 58-45 the Broncs held off the Falcons in Sheridan 67-61.

The Lady Broncs host number one ranked Natrona county today at 2:30.

The Broncs play at Natrona this afternoon at 2:30 on that game can be heard live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

RAMS / EAGLES - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams met in Dayton last night splitting the action.

The Lady Eagles took the girls game 51-36 while the Rams beat the Eagles 58-46.

Big local sports weekend begins today

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams will play Billings Skyview tonight, tomorrow it's Natrona county.

The Lady Broncs play at Skyview this evening and tomorrow host number one Natrona county, the Fillies gave the Lady Broncs their only loss of the season in Casper a month ago.

The Broncs host Skyview tonight, they beat the Falcons in December in Billings, Bronc Head coach Gale Smith expects a great match up tonight because both teams know each other very well and they Falcons are playing really good right now.

Bronc / Lady Bronc basketball face home and road challenges this weekend

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams will play Billings Skyview tomorrow night then Saturday they play Natrona county.

The Lady Broncs beat Skyview at home early in December and they dropped a 10 point game at NC that is their only loss of the season.

They haven't had much of a test over their last six games, Head coach Jessica Pickett says it's good for the team to have this level of competition as they prepare to star conference play.

Generals / Lady Generals sweep games from Little Big Horn

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams played Little Big Horn community college at the Hoffman dome Tuesday night.

The Lady Generals beat the Rams 94-73, Head coach Frank McCarthy called it a nice solid league victory.

As McCarthy said the Lady Generals are unbeaten at home and are 13-7 overall and now have to go back out on the road Saturday to try again away from the Hoffman to
dome.
