Wednesday, October 7th

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs find themselves at the top of the high school football heap for the second consecutive week. The Broncs picked up all but one 1st place vote in this week's balloting, outdistancing 2nd-ranked Green River. Cheyenne Central jumps to #3 this week after whipping Gillette.

Tuesday, October 6th

CROSS-COUNTRY - The local sports scene gets going Thursday when the Sheridan High School cross-country teams head to Helena, Montana for a different kind of race, as a tune-up for the North Regionals which will be held in Sheridan next week. And in two weeks, Sheridan hosts the State Cross-Country Championships.

Monday, October 5th

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs jumped on Laramie and led 24-0 and went onto to win 27-7 to pick up their 5th straight win. This week the Broncs make the long journey to Evanston. We will have the game live for you on AM 1410 KWYO. Friday night kick-off is at 7 o'clock.

Saturday, Oct. 3rd

FOOTBALL - Sheridan beat Laramie 27-7 in a sweet Homecoming victory. They play at Evanston next week.

It was Thermopolis over Big Horn 13-6. The Rams go up against Moorcroft at home next week.

Wright beat Tongue River 26-12 yesterday afternoon. The Eagles are at Newcastle next week.

Friday, October 2nd

STATE TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams opened play yesterday at the State Tennis Tournament. All players are still alive as Day 2 gets underway. The Lady Broncs sit tied for 1st place with Jackson. After the first day, Emily Holst and Maria Dernalova both advanced to the semi-finals in the Singles.

Thursday Oct. 1st

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs start Week 6 on a 4-game winning streak and will take the #1 ranking in 4-A football into the Homecoming game with Laramie tomorrow night. Head coach Don Julian says the time is now to really get the momentum rolling. The Broncs had a bit of a letdown after they beat Green River three weeks ago, and struggled against Rock Springs.

Wednesday, Sept. 30th

SHS VOLLEYBALL - Sheridan High School will host the first Border War Volleyball Tournament Saturday. Seven teams will join the Lady Broncs, Gillette along with the Casper schools will be in Sheridan to play Round Robin matches against four from Montana.
