Broncs upend Red Devils

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and converted two Evanston 4th quarter turnovers into scores and beat the Red Devils 45-23. The Broncs are now 6-1 and will play at Cheyenne Central next Friday.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles lost another heart breaker Friday, Newcastle converted a 4th quarter 2-point conversion and beat the Eagles 8-6. The Eagles will host the "Thunder Bowl" next week against Big Horn.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs host Evanston tonight both teams are 5-1 and the winner will have the upper hand in gaining home field advantage in the playoffs.

As far as the opponent tonight Broncs Head coach Don Julian says the Red Devils have a really good ball club this year.

Both teams are tied with Gillette behind Casper Natrona in the 4-A standings and Julian says Sheridan and Evanston are similar in several ways.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs host Evanston tomorrow night for homecoming both teams are 5-1 and the winner will have the upper hand in gaining home field advantage in the playoffs.

Broncs Head coach Don Julian says the coaches want the players to enjoy the week's activities but make sure they're ready to get down to business tomorrow night.

With the Broncs and Red Devils both with 5-1 records the game is a big for the winner as far as playoff position.

BRONC AND LADY BRONC CROSS COUNTRY - The Sheridan high school cross country teams close out the regular season tomorrow at an invitational meet in Helena, Montana.

The Broncs are coming off a first place finish in Billings last week the Lady Broncs had a good day as well finishing 3rd Head coach Art Bauers says both teams have really stepped up their performance the last few weeks.

LADY BRONC SWIMMING AND DIVING - This is the final week of the regular season for the Lady Bronc swimmers and divers they are coming off a dual sweep of both Casper schools and coach Larry White says the Lady Broncs continue to improve.

White says the victory over Kelly Walsh was especially big for the Lady Broncs because it had been a while since they've beaten the Trojans.
